DINING

There are lots of great restaurants in our area, so no matter what you're in the mood for, you'll find it here.

Willy's: Lunch and Dinner
Decidedly upscale, right in the heart of East Burke.  Incredible steak, pizza, pasta, salads - everything.  Park at the Post Office and walk next door.  Great menu, and you can also buy incredible cuts of meat to take home and cook on your own.  Try the rabbit - it comes right from a friend's farm just up the road.

River Garden:  Lunch and Dinner
Similar to Willy's except Sam doesn't like it nearly as much.  Tory loves it.  Go figure.  Right in town, next door to East Burke Sports.  Park in the parking lot at Chappy's Ice Cream just as you come in to town.

Wildflower Inn:  Lunch and Dinner
A hybrid of Willy's and the River Garden.  They often do a $10 beer and burger lunch special.  It's right on the mountain bike trails, so it's a great place to ride in to for mid-day refreshment.  It's on Darling Ridge, so take a left as you come in to East Burke.  Stay left at the fork.  At the T-intersection, go left again down the ridge a little ways.  Wildflower Inn will be on your right.

NEK Country Store: Breakfast and Lunch
The best place to go for sandwiches and coffee after a night skateboarding at the Packer.  Across the street from the gas station in East Burke, you can't miss it.  Breakfast sandwiches all day, and they also have great sandwiches for lunch.

Trout River Brewery: Dinner (Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays)
Great pizza, great beer selection.  One of New England's best breweries.  On US-5 in Lyndonville, on the left as you're heading north after you get off the highway.

Kham's Thai:  Lunch and Dinner
Great Thai restaurant, and probably the best beverage in town: the Thai Iced Coffee.  Take Exit 22 off I-91 and go north a little bit on US-5.  Kham's is on your right.

Packing House:  Beer
Bode Miller's favorite bar, known locally as The Packer.  The mechanical bulls were too much of a liability, so they replaced them with a mini-halfpipe and some skateboards.  No waivers, no helmets.  Thursday is $0.25 beer night, so bring $5 and maybe we'll see you on Saturday.  Pool, air hockey, dance floor: the Packer is legendary and has it all.  Brawling with the local loggers is not recommended, but ultimately it's up to you.
